Buying Website ‘Templates’ Then Selling Them
When I say website ‘templates I’m not just talking about themes that you can use for Wordpress, I’m talking about website templates that are basically a site already created with content and affiliate products on them, just without a domain. So you buy the site and then transfer it over to your own domain and then put it up for sale.
So is this acceptable to do for site flipping?
I believe that it is but only if the sites are of good quality. It is true that the sites are not unique and will have multiple copies being sold, sometimes even hundreds of the same site sold, but selling sites on Ebay we are not selling unique sites.
Site For Sale On Ebay
I list most of my sites on Ebay which does quite well for me. Although many site flippers prefer Flippa.com, everyone is different and I personally prefer Ebay.
So tonight I just listed a couple of new sites on Ebay so I thought I’d put the links on here if you’d like to check them out.

Above is the link for a plush toy website, which I really, really like. This is one of my favourites although I haven’t used this theme before, I’ve used the header in a different theme. This site is monetized with Adsense, Clickbank and Amazon.
Flipping New Sites Or Established Sites
There are different types of site flipping and one area that it can be broken down into is whether to flip brand new websites or established websites. I don’t know if one is necessarily better than the other as both can be very profitable, sometimes it is more of what you prefer to spend your time on.
Start Up Sites
Flipping brand new sites is when you buy a domain name and build the site from scratch and then sell it straight away as a newly created website not yet earning an income. These are often classified as ’start up’ sites and can sell quite well, particularly if your sites stand out from the crowd.
